Carey Williams, NP, joins the practice!
We are exicted to announce the arrival of Carey Williams, a Nurse Practitioner, to the practice. Carey will begin with us on May 28th, and we are extremely excited about the things that Carey will bring to the team. She comes to us with a background in urgent care, family practice, and occupational medicine, allowing her to jump right in with both feet. Dr. Allen, Allison, Carey, and the PE staff are all ready to take care of your urgent and chronic medical needs. Congratulations Carey... and welcome aboard!

We also want to welcome a new member to the Front Office staff, Kassie Culpepper. Kassie is coming to us from our neighboring State of Georgia and brings a wealth of experience in front office operations, including ID9 and CPT coding, AR, claims submissions, collections, and much, much more. Congratulations Kassie... and welcome aboard!

Mobile Medical team tackles large health fair
The Mobile Medical team recently participated in a two-day health fair for a Birmingham, Alabama based company, drawing over 700 wellness screening labs including cholesterol, HDL, triglyceride, LDL, glucose, TSH, and an age-based cancer screening. These labs were processed and a special personalized report, reviewed by Dr. Allen, was mailed to each participant within two days. Another job well done by the Mobile Medical team!

2009 Physical Express Biscuits Outing!
Dr. and Mrs. Allen treated everyone to a night at the biscuits. Families came out in full force to enjoy some baseball, hot dogs (the Biggest Loser contest Phase 2 was temporarily suspended), and dippin' dots. Even though the 'Scuits lost, the fireworks show afterwards made for a great evening. The PE family tries to get together several times a year to enjoy each other and grow closer. Click here to see some pictures that Doug took of the event. P.S., the picture of Jayme eating french fries and chicken fingers is all Photoshop. ;)

Chronic Pain Medication Update - 3/19/2009
Effective March 19, 2009, Physical Express will no longer prescribe chronic pain medications to new patients. This policy will take effect for our existing patients on April 17, 2009. We will be happy to refer any of our our current pain medication patients to a Pain Management Specialist for further treatment.

Physical Express Biggest Loser Contest... Phase I Complete

Congratulations to all participants. We are beginning phase 2 of their contest now and everyone is excited to continue their progress. Though some are walking, others are running, and yet others are working out in the gym - the bottom line is that everyone is working hard to live a healthy lifestyle... and that is what it's all about.
